Do you ever listen to the sound of silence.

True silence not the kind you feel when sitting in your room your computer humming beside you. Not like walking down the street as you shut off your ipod to hear the traffic speak. Not the sound of the house setteling in the still of the night as you lie awake.

You stop and notice it not oppressive or dark. It's just there a total absence of noise and sound.

Survival Story

The Flobots just released March 16th as their second complete studio album following Fight With Tools also the name of their nonprofit website dedicated to American Youth Programs.

As I really enjoyed the album Fight With Tools I purchased Survival Story with high hopes to be slightly disappointed. It seems the Flobots have abandoned the hard hitting rebels for a deeper cause and defected to cryptic environmental messages layered underneath confusing lyrics.

I wish the Flobots would stand up and not be moved
Except by a child with no socks and shoes.
Except by a woman dieing from a lack of food

As I float off to forever with these words upon my lips

Today my film came in
5 rolls of Afga 200
5 rolls of Kodak Portra Black and White 400
5 rolls of Kodak Portra 160nc
and 3 rolls of Fuji Press 800

Now I just gotta get out and shoot it

Since I bought so much film they gave me a free leather camera strap

I also ended up getting a roll of Fuji Neopean 400 black and white 120 format for my sisters antique Kodak Brownie Hawkeye.
She was decorating her room with antique memorabilia and when I noticed the Brownie I instantly wanted to shoot with it but after looking on the Internet I concluded that the 620 film that is standard for this camera was to rare and expensive to get my hands on so I didn't bother. But about a week ago I was on a random antique camera site and they suggested that just filing the edges of a standard 120 spool makes it work in 620 format cameras. I quickly ordered a roll of 120 to try it.

There's the file and the roll of 120

And there's the Brownie fully loaded I was going to shoot the loading process but in the excitement I forgot.

I should be posting new pictures and an Flobots Album review in the next few days

Hello so I'm trying to update more frequently its harder to have killer content when I'm updating more often, But I'll still tell you about my day. Today we went skiing when I say We, I mean Kenny, Jesse, Dan and Amanda, The regulars plus this new chick Lauren that Dan and Kenny met on their trip to Louisiana. The conditions were amazing I just love skiing when its warm out, there are puddles everywhere and the snow is more like slush.

Well for the content here's an pretty creative short film that I love. I'm not going to get into details because It's pretty short but I think its awesome.

Yo I'm so Zonked from skiing all day today and avoiding second impact syndrome. OOOYEA I got my Holga Lomo camera in a couple weeks ago and have been shooting like crazy. But I just managed to bring my first roll to Henry's to get it developed (its special film that Walmart can't develop) so they tell me its gonna take a week to get them developed cause they have to send them out. But I just started shooting a roll of normal film. so hopefully I'll have some examples to show you next post.

And for all you people concerned about my sanity from the last time I'm feeling a lot better since the Anger Post.

So today I'm skipping the Band and talking about a very cool Canadian music site where you can download free music legally which is awesome if your trying to walk the straight and narrow. Yea really it's so sick especially if you like a lot of verity and indie music. I just have the Itunes Podcast and I have already gotten over 100 free songs and they download automatically when I start Itunes. But like I you get a variety and it is mostly Indie (so super unknown bands) But its all genres so you have to pretty much like everything or delete what you don't. Yea that's it for today.

I Love this picture I took in the morning on a ferry to Vancouver Island
I'm stuck in the Dark looking out upon the Sunrise that will soon come.

Someone has what I want and I don't know why It happened this way but it did and now I'm hurt and angry so baby I'm gonna drown my sorrows,(insert scream here) Gonna Drown my sorrows.

Eluveitie produced (El-vay-Tee) my current music I listen to when I'm angry.

Celtic folk metal from Switzerland. They started in 2002 releasing their ep, Ven in 2003 then released a full length album, Spirit in 2003 they promptly got signed to Nuclear Blast Records and released a third album, Slania in February of 2008. Eluveitie regularly uses the dead Gaulish language in their lyrics and Eluveitie is Helvetic Gaulish for "I am the Helvetian" referring to an inscription dating to the earliest record of the Helvetii tribe which used to reside in modern day Switzerland.

Eluveitie frequently use traditional Celtic instruments such as the Violin, Bagpipes, Whistles and a Hurdy Gurdy which is a kind of mechanical violin in which the player turns a hand crank and plays a keyboard of sorts.

My friend Tony gave me the album Slania and i immediately fell in Love with the band. I soon went out and bought the previous album Spirit. My favorite songs are Grey Sublime Archon, The Somber Lay, Calling the Rain, The Song of Life and Siraxta.

Hello just profiling my favorite rap group today, The amazing FLOBOTS. I first heard of the Flobots from my friend Craig at the first listen I wasn't impressed to much then I started listening to them again while I was Mowing the lawn (One of the best places to listen to music if you have good headphones that is) I listened to the song, Stand Up and it was an instant hit for me. Now I love the whole album it's amazing, and I totally can't wait to get my hands on the new album out this spring!

Now for some backround. The Flobots started in 2000 by lead Johnny 5 which teamed up with Farhad Ebrahimi(YahKtoe) released their first album Onomatopeia, Johnny 5 then went on to meat an team up with all the current members of the Flobots dropping YahKtoe along the way. they have released 2 complete albums to date and are working on a third due this spring.

The album I have, Fight with Tools. Its amazing all the songs I love it.

Hey so I quit Facebook for now, I don't know if its indefinite I'm trying to cut back on my computer use but so far I've only put in the time elsewhere on the computer. Its only day one though so I have plan and find other things to do with my time. Sooo I hope more of my friends will follow my blog now that its the only way to see how I'm doing with my time, and stuff. I am planning on spending my time more learning new things and putting it into learning music, art and spending more time with God. Starting tomorrow I'm Going to adult ed classes to finish my high school diploma which I think is totally lame but there is a flip side cause I'm not working and I get off at 1 so I'll gonna be able to ski every night, which might be excessive but it's all up to me so whatever.
