Survival Story

The Flobots just released March 16th as their second complete studio album following Fight With Tools also the name of their nonprofit website dedicated to American Youth Programs. http://www.fightwithtools.org/

As I really enjoyed the album Fight With Tools I purchased Survival Story with high hopes to be slightly disappointed. It seems the Flobots have abandoned the hard hitting rebels for a deeper cause and defected to cryptic environmental messages layered underneath confusing lyrics.

I wish the Flobots would stand up and not be moved
Except by a child with no socks and shoes.
Except by a woman dieing from a lack of food

As I float off to forever with these words upon my lips

Today my film came in
5 rolls of Afga 200
5 rolls of Kodak Portra Black and White 400
5 rolls of Kodak Portra 160nc
and 3 rolls of Fuji Press 800

Now I just gotta get out and shoot it

Since I bought so much film they gave me a free leather camera strap

I also ended up getting a roll of Fuji Neopean 400 black and white 120 format for my sisters antique Kodak Brownie Hawkeye.
She was decorating her room with antique memorabilia and when I noticed the Brownie I instantly wanted to shoot with it but after looking on the Internet I concluded that the 620 film that is standard for this camera was to rare and expensive to get my hands on so I didn't bother. But about a week ago I was on a random antique camera site and they suggested that just filing the edges of a standard 120 spool makes it work in 620 format cameras. I quickly ordered a roll of 120 to try it.

There's the file and the roll of 120

And there's the Brownie fully loaded I was going to shoot the loading process but in the excitement I forgot.

I should be posting new pictures and an Flobots Album review in the next few days

Hello so I'm trying to update more frequently its harder to have killer content when I'm updating more often, But I'll still tell you about my day. Today we went skiing when I say We, I mean Kenny, Jesse, Dan and Amanda, The regulars plus this new chick Lauren that Dan and Kenny met on their trip to Louisiana. The conditions were amazing I just love skiing when its warm out, there are puddles everywhere and the snow is more like slush.

Well for the content here's an pretty creative short film that I love. I'm not going to get into details because It's pretty short but I think its awesome.

A Simple Truth

As I lie
By your side
A simple truth
I do find
That when you Die
And we part
By your side
I will Lie
When I too Die

Soooo my life's been pretty boring now .... nothing new happening going into the 3rd week without a phone, just been skiing a lot and feeling really cut off from my friends who don't live close.

Seven Saturdays

Is an one man band formed by multi instrumentalist Jonathan D. Haskell. I found him from the podcast Oh My Rockness Radio

There are 4 songs on the ep, all gripping instrumental melodies.
