Formed in Jacksonville Florida in 2007 Black kids got national attention after a wicked show at the Athens Pop fest in Georgia on Aug 11, 2oo7 which lead to a large amount of media coverage, Getting them on Rolling Stones Bands to Watch for 2008 list.In 2009 Black Kids got their Single I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You on the Movie Jennifer's Body

I have their Album Partie Traumatic and my favorite songs are: I'm Making Eyes At You, Love Me Already and Look At Me(When I Rock Wichoo)

My new favorite artist Chad Vangaalen

This amazing singer songwriter /animator from Calgary, Alberta captured my attention with the song, TMNT Mask.

I got my hands on his album Soft airplane and got attached to the songs City of Electric Light and Molten Light.

Does it Offend You, Yeah? another band from the UK.

Started in 2008 and recorded their first album named, You Have No Idea What You're Getting Yourself Into. They are currently recording a second album set for release later this year. The official genre is Electro-Rock/Synth-Pop. Ideal for fans of MGMT, Owl City or Crystal Castles.

On a side note my new Skullcandy headphones hit the floor sometime last week and the decided to quit today =/ . DANG

LIfe on the Edge = Failed New Years Resolutions

Yes I already failed, I missed posting yesterday apparently only 65% of new years resolutions are a success. My excuse is life on the EDGE

Actually I've just been really busy. Its the holidays so I have been skiing every night.

Usually I leave at around 3 and get to the hill by 4 and ski till 10 get home by 11 stay up till 2am sleep in till 1pm then repeat. Between making a lunch and getting my stuff together that doesn't leave much time for Blogging.

These clowns go under the name Wintersleep. Formed in 2001 the Canadian Indie Rockers from Halifax, Nova Scotia,In 2008 Wintersleep released their third full length studio album, Welcome to the Night Sky, and promptly won a Juno for New Group of the year. Songs to check out are, Search Party and Weighty Ghost. The full Album contains some more heavy hitters and is defiantly worth buying.

NeW years eve and the Paper Tongues

Snowblowers are amazing. watching my dad snow blow the rink this morning I got to wondering on who invented the snowblower and how long ago was it invented? Apparently the snowblower was invented in 1929 by a Canadian inventor, named Arthur Sicard. He designed it to clear the snow off railway tracks.

The first snowblower he ever sold was the "Sicard Snow Remover Snowblower" to the nearby town of Outremont, Quebec.

Soooooo tonight is new years eve and I'm going skiing until ten then coming home and celebrating with my family and some friends. My new years resolution is to post on this blog once a day for the entire year!. Now on to the Paper Tongues

The Paper Tongues are a Rock/Hip Hop group from Charlotte NC. I first heard them when I was on a road trip in California. I promptly bought their Hit single Ride to California and have been a fan ever since. I picked up their EP at a concert in Toronto, It is amazing every song on it is great.

WHITE LIES !!!!

So this is my new blog mostly just a place to put down my thoughts and maybe introduce the world to some new music and whatever else is amazing me.

So right now I'm just crazy about this band called White Lies. I found them from the Itunes single of the week.

Formerly know as fear of flying. Hailing from London they sound like an infusion of Franz Ferdinand and The Killers. Songs to check out are; Farewell to the Fairground, E.S.T and From the Stars. But the whole album is amazing and I would totally recommend buying it.
